Autumn is here and the 2017 summer wedding season is officially over – how times flies! I’m not sure where to begin with how many stories I could tell you…
Boy what a season it’s been. Between April and September I have had the pleasure of photographing more than 30 weddings, each one of them entertaining and unique in their own way. I had a fantastic time and am so grateful to have met so many wonderful people.
A few words of thanks…
I feel it’s only appropriate to say thank you to all the wonderful people I’ve met, first and foremost of course, the couples themselves. I feel so honoured to be invited into this journey in their lives, chronicling every moment from the wedding nerves as they get ready to the throwing of the confetti. It’s a real pleasure for me and my assistant when we see those nervous couples making vows to each other at the altar, tearing up during the speeches, over-indulging in wedding cake and forgetting the world around them during their first dance. From precious moments to comedy gold, we’ve seen it all and have been made to feel welcome at every ceremony.
I cannot describe how special it feels to be a part of every couple’s big day, especially with such a busy season. There has been a lot of hard work and we’ve certainly put the hours in from shooting to editing, but it’s been an incredible journey. I often feel like I have the best job in the world.
The next project!
I’m all too aware that my work has led me to neglect my blog over the last few months. That is all about to change! Over the next few months I am going to fill you all in on every wedding I have been to over the summer, complete with some of my favourite shots to bring the stories to life. From Scottish dancing to sumo wrestling, there’s a lot to look forward to!
I’ll be sharing some of my best photography with you over the next few blogs, so please watch this space.
First update coming soon!
