Wedding Photography Slough

The majority of couples I meet for wedding photography are invariably a bundle of nerves, so working with Stephanie and Tim was a breath of fresh air. The pair booked me for wedding photography in Slough about six months prior to their wedding day, and could not have been more relaxed, both beforehand and on the big day itself.

When the day finally came, I started off the celebrations with wedding preparation photography at Stephanie’s parents’ house. The girls stuck to tradition by having their hair and makeup done, but I have to give the bride a special mention. Not one to let painful high heels spoil her big day, she chose to wear trainers underneath her wedding dress! She said she wanted to do so so that she could walk and dance all night, and it’s a testament to her relaxed nature as a person.

Stephanie and Tim picked a beautiful Old-timer to take the bride to Langley Free Church and the married couple to the reception venue afterward. This stunning vehicle would prove to be the centrepiece for a lot of photographs, including a light-hearted shot of Stephanie pushing the car!

The ceremony itself was electric. Stephanie and Tim are both big believers, and this certainly came across in their celebrations. The church was bursting at the seams and there was an incredible atmosphere as all the guests got involved to sing along with the band.

Confetti shots

After the ceremony, I just had to capture the enormity of the guest list, so we did a huge group shot inside the church before the guests headed to the coffee van outside for refreshments. Whilst the guests were busying themselves with coffee and cake, the newlyweds and I had a great time shooting the Old-timer in a variety of different poses.

We captured the integral confetti shot just before the pair left the church to drive to Richings Park Golf Club. Here I took the opportunity to photograph the couple by themselves. I really wanted to bring to life their easy-going spirit, so I made sure Stephanie’s trainers were visible where I could! The venue had plenty of wonderful photo opportunities including a beautiful bridge over a pond, so I captured them in lots of different poses.

Midnight wedding photography

Later on we went back inside for the speeches, meal and the cutting of the cake. The guests were keen to party, so I quickly snapped the couple during their first dance before their family and friends filled the dance floor!

Stephanie’s decision to wear her trainers was definitely a wise one, as we continued to take photographs way into the night. In fact, I took the couple outside for one last “midnight shoot” in complete darkness. This was great fun and allowed me to create “special effect” photos using only flashes to guide me. The finished product was a stunning silhouette, and Stephanie’s dress contrasted beautifully against the midnight background.

After a tiring but fun-filled day, I’m happy to say that Stephanie and Tim gave me a five-star review for their wedding photography in Slough. It was a wonderful experience working with chilled-out, fun-loving believers, and I wish them a long and happy marriage.
