Congratulations to Laetitia and Joeri! I was thrilled when they booked me for this Amsterdam wedding photography job. I love The Netherlands, I speak the language a bit and the Dutch people are simply one of the coolest in the world!
Read the story
I’ve know Joeri and Laetitia for many years. They approached after I had shot the wedding of a friend – another Amsterdam wedding Photography job I did a couple of years ago. They invited me to Amsterdam to be their wedding photographer. I was really excited as I think Amsterdam is one of the nicest cities in the world!
The coolness of European weddings
When I arrived I was quite impressed: What a beautiful couple and what a beautiful wedding! The ceremony and reception took place in the stunning attic of a medieval farm in the Netherlands. The ceremony was led by a close friend of the bridge and groom – what a personal event! Exchanging the vows and the rings were two of the emotional high points. I managed to capture a few really sweet family photography moments when the kids were playing with the bubbles in the garden. Amsterdam is a really relaxed place I must admit.
Stunning Amsterdam wedding photography locations
As a wedding photographer each location can have it’s unique challenges. It was quite dark in the room and due to the wooden roof I wasn’t able to bounce my flash of the walls as I would do usually. I used a special low light lens which did a great job. Shooting without flash is far less obtrusive anyways!
After the cake we went outside to a nearby park for some official wedding shots – and the weather did play its part. This stylish day finished with a party on a board!
This was one of the most stylish wedding photography jobs I’ve done this year. I’m really happy they left me such a good review as well.
Congratulations again and all the best.
