As a wedding photographer, I’m very fortunate to photograph some incredibly beautiful wedding venues, but wedding photography at Hampton Court Golf Club was truly one of a kind! The natural surroundings would give me a beautiful colour palette to work against for Charlotte and Daniel’s wedding.
Charlotte and Daniel booked me in for a joint wedding photography and videography project, the latter of which I’ll show you in another blog post!
We started the day getting ready in the same hotel, just five minutes’ drive from Hampton Court Golf Club. Both wedding parties were in the same place, so not too much running around for me! There were some wonderful props to snap in Charlotte’s room, from slippers to earrings.
Civil wedding ceremony at Hampton Court Golf Club
I think we can all agree that summer 2018 was a total scorcher! This day was no different, which posed a few challenges for me as a wedding photographer. Never mind the wedding cake melting – what about the pictures!?
There was a big focus on the outdoors for Charlotte and Daniel’s wedding. The ceremony might have been indoors, but it would be a sin not to make use of the beautiful surroundings! I took some reportage shots as family and friends enjoyed garden games, ensuring I kept the exposure to a minimum.
Evening wedding photography
Thankfully, the wedding breakfast took place inside an air-conditioned room! Again, there were beautiful props to capture here, all themed around the couple’s love of travel. As more guests arrived for the evening, we got everything ready for video interviews and that essential sunset photo shoot.
This has to be without a doubt one of the most fun weddings I’ve ever photographed. From bubble confetti to a golf cart wedding car, Charlotte and Daniel knew how to keep their guests entertained! This was topped off with the stunning Hampton Court Golf Club wedding venue – if you’re looking for a great venue, check this one out!
