I had the pleasure of being Jessica and Adam’s wedding photographer at Brookfield Barn, an amazing wedding venue that offers everything you could wish for when getting married. The beautiful weather and extremely happy people made lots of fun to create this wedding photography gallery.
Brookfield Barn is a lovely little tucked away venue in Horsham, Surrey – a joy to photograph! We started the day early on at Brookfield Barn, where I took some lovely outdoor panoramic photos. The pond was my favourite!
Then on to the bridal party, where I took a few essential shots of the preparation, as well as some close-ups of the wedding dress, shoes and other details. Everybody was mucking in – the bride was blowing up gas balloons, and Grandma was looking after baby!
Things were much calmer over at the groom’s house, where the boys were just sorting the finishing touches. The lads all looked very dapper as we captured the group shots with Adam’s dad and brother.
Outdoor wedding ceremony at Brookfield Barn
I whizzed back to the venue to get a couple more of Jessica before the ceremony. Her flowers contrasted beautifully against her wedding dress.
Thankfully, the sun shone for the couple’s outdoor ceremony. A singer entertained the crowds as Jessica walked down the aisle, and the pond provided a lovely backdrop. Not a dry eye in the house!
After the ceremony, we captured the essential confetti shots and lined the families up on the steps for some group photos. As other guests enjoyed drinks and canapés, I took the family to the water for a smaller shoot against the backdrop.
Outdoor portrait wedding photography in the sun
When we were finished with the family, I took the newlyweds off for some portrait photography. It was a very, very bright day. I wasn’t sure how these would look in post-production so I took them as a backup. Thankfully, they turned out beautifully!
Later on, Jessica paid homage to her German heritage. The family took part in some silly traditional German games, including cutting out a giant heart and leaping through it! They kept with the German theme during the bilingual speeches, as well as the silly games. A particular highlight was trying to guess who said “I love you” after inhaling helium!
As the sun began to set, I “kidnapped” the couple once again. This time we had an amazing colour palette to work with – such natural warm colours as the pair sat on the love swing and explored the grounds.
With the night upon us, it was time to capture the couple’s first dance in the barn setting. The smiles didn’t stop as the couple fed each other cake and mingled with their loved ones.
We finished with outdoor sparklers, and an “effect” shot under the moonlight outside the barn. It was the perfect end to a perfect day, and I’m pleased to say Jessica and Adam gave me a five-star review.
This tucked-away Horsham wedding venue is ideal for any couple’s big day. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer at Brookfield Barn, please get in touch with me today.
