Tasha and Gareth found me online and booked me as their wedding photographer for their incredible wedding at Clock Barn Hall. Before the we wedding we met at Clock Barn Hall for their engagement shoot, and already then I could tell that their wedding was going to be a barrel of laughs – I wasn’t wrong. It’s not often you see sumo wrestling at a wedding, but more on that later…
I’d already got to know the venue at Clock Barn Hall, so my day started at Tasha’s house with the bridal party where they were getting ready. You can see from the photos it was a laugh a minute – no nerves from the bride whatsoever. I then headed to the venue, giving myself half an hour to photograph Gareth welcoming the guests before Tasha’s grand arrival. I took this chance to get a few more detailed pictures of the venue itself, including some very quaintly decorated signposts.
Wedding photography at Clock Barn Hall
Clock Barn Hall is quite a unique venue, with a very memorable ceiling in its ceremony room. Tasha and Gareth enjoyed an intimate civil wedding ceremony before heading outside for some couple portraits around the farm. We even managed to sneak in some extra special guests, including a horse! As a wedding photographer I can honestly say that Clock Barn Hall offers a lot of pretty spots for beautiful wedding photography.
Fun was clearly the name of the game for Tasha and Gareth’s wedding, and before long, people were donning sumo wrestler suits and getting involved in all the fun. The speeches provided just as many laughs within the beautifully decorated reception room.
Evening photo shoot
I took Tasha and Gareth out for a few more couple shoots as the sun began to set (my favourite part of any wedding photography job!), then it was party time. I managed to hide my lights in the DJ rig in order to get a perfect shot of the first dance. Later, I got involved with everybody else on the dance floor to get those all-important party shots. As a wedding photographer I try to be close to the action but without being a part of it.
As the celebrations started to calm down, I asked Tasha and Gareth to have one more couple photo – this time shooting a flash against the wall behind them. This created a beautiful pair of silhouettes which would look great on thank you letter stationery – and it only took two minutes to make.
I had a great time shooting at Tasha and Gareth’s laugh-a-minute ceremony. If you’re looking for a wedding photographer, perhaps for your wedding at Clock Barn Hall, please visit my contact page today.
