Sussex Wedding Photographer

Hello, I’m Moritz. I have been a busy Sussex wedding photographer since 2013. I photograph about 30 weddings a year in and around Sussex in a fun and relaxed manner.

Welcome from a Sussex Wedding Photographer

Documentary Sussex wedding photography (or Sussex reportage wedding photography) is completely unobtrusive and unstaged. It is capturing only the finest and most genuine moments. However, I also like to create lush and epic environmental portraits, romantic sunsets, and more!

Sussex Weddings

Many wedding venues in Sussex offer countless opportunities for beautiful wedding photography.  Sussex has an excellent connectivity to London, rolling green landscapes, and a wide stretch of beach on its doorstep. It’s no wonder so many of my clients have chosen to get married in Sussex.

Wedding Photography in East Sussex / West Sussex

East or West Sussex are both excellent choices if you’re still looking for a place to tie the knot. Famous for its historical Battle of Hastings, the county is also home to 1000-year-old castles. There is also the Royal Pavilion – the ideal location for a touch of regal class!

Your guests will enjoy the opportunity to spend a weekend away during your wedding celebrations. There are plenty of tourist spots on offer. Consider the picturesque seaside town of Eastbourne to the rambling routes along the South Downs Way. You can even fly into Gatwick!

Sussex wedding photography for your perfect day

In order to create the perfect wedding in Sussex, you’ll need a photographer who will closely work with you. You want someone who captures every single moment. With my documentary wedding photography, I document every step of the wedding from different perspectives. I always consider your needs as the bride and groom.

First, we meet (usually via Zoom) to discuss your plans and ideas. From the laughter over morning champagne, to the arrival of the wedding car, to the ceremony, and celebrations at the reception afterwards until late at night, I’ll offer suggestions for documenting the whole day.

    Photography AND Videography

I’m one of the few Sussex wedding photographers who also provide wedding videography. I produce heartfelt wedding videos, either as part of a package with photography or on their own. I am more than happy to explain in detail how I shoot photography and video simultaneously.

    Wedding photography in Sussex

I discovered my true passion for wedding photography when I was in my early 30s. Luckily, I was able to find myself in a perfect spot near all of the fantastic wedding venues in East Sussex and West Sussex.

I honestly believe I have found the perfect job for me. The amazing thing about being a Sussex wedding photographer is that I get to meet so many wonderful couples. I’m honoured to witness their beautiful wedding days at genuinely beautiful wedding venues all over Sussex!

    Getting in touch

Typically, couples get in touch a year before their wedding. There are some early birds who book as far as two years in advance. I’ve even been booked only a few days before a wedding. In order to stay fresh and inspired, I only accept about 30 weddings a year.

Zoom allows us to have a quick chat about what you need. Please fill in the form above to contact me. Additionally, I might be able to give you a few tips and tricks I have picked up along the way. Let’s chat!

You might be interested in any extra services such as videography or live streaming. I will be able to send you my final offer following this consultation.

    The day of your wedding

Getting married is probably the most significant event of your life. You may even feel physically excited. I will do my part to help make your wedding run smoothly. Often, small conversations between suppliers behind the scenes make the day run smoothly. My goal is to be as invisible as possible. I have usually already taken the shot I wanted when people notice me.

    Security and backup

My Sony A1 digital camera saves each photo on two separate memory cards. Everything I shoot is double protected! I copy everything onto three more hard drives at home. Then, I uploaded everything into the cloud. I am very aware that the photos on my hard drive are invaluable.

    Post-Production

My job as a Sussex wedding photographer involves taking many photos at a wedding. In post-production, I load all images into my editing software for culling and digital development. Each picture gets a star rating. Using the stars filter, I create a final gallery of the highest quality shots that tells a complete story of your wedding day. As a last step, I edit each single photo. The process is quite lengthy, but it’s an important aspect of photography.

    Choosing a Sussex wedding photographer

If you are interested in booking, I will send you a private booking link. Kind of like shopping online. View and edit what you are booking, then click order. Please fill out the questionnaire and sign the contract. I require a 20% booking fee with the remaining 80% due on your wedding day. Most couples pay a few days beforehand, especially if they are going on honeymoon right after the wedding.

Staying in touch before your wedding

Let’s stay in touch until your big day. Send me any ideas, examples or questions you may have. Then, a week before your wedding, I’d like to schedule an extended Zoom call with you. We can spend an hour or so to discuss your wedding almost minute by minute. At this point, usually, nothing in your schedule will change anymore. Your wedding will be my next one! I can devote all my attention to you.

    Delivering your wedding pictures

I usually need about six weeks to process your wedding. The final product is a private gallery page. Of course, it’s hidden from Google search results. You can view all your shots here. They will look great on any device. The majority of couples use this link to show their wedding photos to their friends and families. In addition, you will receive a Google Drive link with all your shots in full resolution.  It’s easily downloadable and shareable. I never delete anything. No links expire.

As a wedding photographer in Sussex, I have to defend my reputation

A good reputation is important to me as a wedding photographer in Sussex. Reviews.co.uk is a Google-trusted site. All my clients have the opportunity to review me. My rating (4.98/5) is very important to me. I will do my best to maintain it.

I hope you will find this page useful and get a sense of my style and approach. I’m not a big marketer and prefer to let my pictures and videos speak for themselves.  I have also travelled all across the UK and Europe for photography jobs. I am happy to negotiate travel arrangements with you. But in general, I think of myself as a Sussex wedding photographer. Do not hesitate to contact me today if you would like to chat over coffee or via Zoom. I look forward to hearing from you.
