Your Wedding. True Story!
Hi, I’m Moritz. I have been a Sussex wedding photographer since 2013.
Every year, I photograph about 30 weddings in and around Sussex in a relaxed, natural and fun way. I love photographing real moments by real people with real emotions. Unobtrusive – I’m a silent hunter; always looking for the next little part of your story – the story of your wedding.
I offer completely bespoke packages starting at £900 for a half-day.
Let the adventure begin…
Sussex Reportage Wedding Photographer
Couples often ask ‘What is reportage/documentary wedding photography?’ Documentary or reportage wedding photography means wedding photography which is completely unobtrusive and unstaged. It is capturing the most genuine moments as they happen. However I’m not a purist; I also like to create lush and epic environmental portraits, romantic sunsets, and more. The beautiful landscape of Sussex is just perfect for it!
Sussex Weddings
Many wedding venues in Sussex offer countless opportunities for beautiful wedding photography. But Sussex is not just beautiful. Sussex has excellent connectivity to London and a wide stretch of beach on its doorstep. It’s no wonder so many of my couples choose to get married in Sussex. Over the years I have had the pleasure of shooting at many different Sussex wedding venues, so I know the area quite a bit.

Getting married in Sussex
East and West Sussex are both excellent choices if you’re still looking for a place to tie the knot. Famous for its historical Battle of Hastings, the county is also home to 1000-year-old castles. You will discover the most exciting wedding venues in Sussex such as the Royal Pavilion – the ideal location for a touch of regal class!
Your wedding guests will enjoy their long weekend in Sussex as there are plenty of tourist spots on offer. Consider the picturesque seaside town of Eastbourne to the rambling routes along the South Downs Way And for international wedding guests, Gatwick Airport offers a wide range of international flight connections.
Wedding photography in Sussex
I tailor my wedding photography to your needs – I certainly don’t just do ‘the standard programme’. While being as invisible as possible, my aim is to anticipate each moment and capture the day as it happens naturally. I want to tell the story of your wedding day in photographs that evoke emotion. I tell the big picture and the little details in my wedding photographs.
From the laughter over morning champagne to the arrival of the wedding car, to the ceremony, and celebrations at the reception afterwards until late at night, I’ll be there documenting the whole day with natural, beautiful, tasteful and emotive wedding photography.

Combining Wedding Photography and Wedding Videography
I’m one of the few Sussex wedding photographers who also provide wedding videography. I produce heartfelt wedding videos, either as part of a package with photography or on their own. I am more than happy to explain in detail how I shoot photography and video simultaneously.

How I work
I discovered my true passion for wedding photography when I was in my early 30s. It was pure coincidence that I found myself in a perfect spot near all of the fantastic wedding venues in East Sussex and West Sussex.
I honestly believe I have found the perfect job for me. The amazing thing about being a wedding photographer in Sussex is that I get to work at the most stunning venues for so many wonderful couples. I always feel honoured when couples choose me as their wedding photographer.
Getting in touch
Typically, couples get in touch about a year before their wedding. There are some early birds who book as far as two years in advance. I’ve even been booked only a few days before a wedding. In order to stay fresh and inspired, I only accept about 30 weddings a year.
Zoom allows us to have a quick chat about what you need. Please fill in the form above to contact me. Additionally, I might be able to give you a few tips and tricks I have picked up along the way. Let’s chat!
You might be interested in any extra services such as videography or live streaming. I will be able to send you my final offer following this consultation.
Your wedding day
Getting married is probably the most significant event of your life so far. I will do everything I can to help make your wedding run smoothly. My goal is to be as invisible as possible while being as helpful as possible. The moment people start to notice me, I have usually already taken the shot I wanted.
Security and backup
My Sony A1 digital camera saves each photo on two separate memory cards. Everything I shoot is double-protected! Back in my studio, I copy everything onto three more hard drives for extra security. I never delete anything.
Post-Production
My job as a wedding photographer involves taking thousands of photos at a wedding. In post-production, I load all images into my editing software for culling and digital development. I create a final gallery of the highest quality shots that tells a complete story of your wedding day – balanced and detailed. Then, I edit every single photo. The process is lengthy, but it’s ‘where the magic happens’ as each photo gets the look that matches the content.
Choosing a Sussex wedding photographer
If you are interested in booking, I will send you a private booking link – it’s a bit like online shopping. You can see and edit the services you are booking (just photography or a package with videography or live streaming), then click order. Please fill out the questionnaire and sign the contract in your browser (no printer needed). I require a 20% booking fee with the remaining 80% due on your wedding day. I will send you the receipts for everything.
Staying in touch before your wedding
Even if it’s still a year (or more!) until your wedding, let’s stay in touch until your big day. Send me any ideas, examples or questions you may have. Then, a week before your wedding, I’d like to schedule an extended Zoom call with you. We can spend an hour or so discussing your wedding almost minute by minute. At this point, usually, nothing in your schedule will change anymore. As your wedding will be my next one, I can fully concentrate on every little detail!
Delivering your wedding pictures
I usually need about one week to process your wedding. The final product is a private gallery page. Of course, it’s hidden from Google search results. You can view all your shots here and they will look great on any device. The majority of couples use this link to show their wedding photos to their friends and families. In addition, you will receive a Google Drive download link with all your shots in full resolution. I never delete anything. No links expire.
Reviews
I am very aware that you have an excellent choice of wedding photographers in Sussex. A good reputation is paramount. All my couples automatically receive an invitation to review me on Reviews.co.uk. This is a Google-trusted site (you might have seen little rating stars if you found me via a search engine), as all reviews are spam-free (IP address checked).

I hope you will find this page useful and get a sense of my style and approach. I’m not a big marketer and prefer to let my pictures and videos speak for themselves. I have also travelled all across the UK and Europe for photography jobs. I am happy to negotiate travel arrangements with you. But in general, I think of myself as a Sussex wedding photographer. Do not hesitate to contact me today if you would like to chat over coffee or via Zoom. I look forward to hearing from you.
