London Wedding Photography

I moved to the United Kingdom in 2007 and I still consider London to be the beating heart of the world today. As a wedding photographer I have travelled to all sorts of exotic locations but there is something about London that just makes it distinctive – its rich cosmopolitan atmosphere, juxtaposed with traditional British values that are so entrenched in this little island’s history, simply make London an unforgettable setting for a wedding.
Living in nearby Guildford, I am proud to call myself a London wedding photographer and have many wonderful memories taking photographs in this amazing city. The Big Smoke just lends itself to wedding photography – nothing says artistic like a black cab in the background or a bride and groom snap alongside an iconic red phone box.
Of course, it wouldn’t be a true London wedding without the happy couple arriving in style, and where better to start than with an original Routemaster? One of my favourite London weddings to photograph was that of Zoe and Chris, which took place in the Thistle Hotel Barbican, close to the British Museum. The day was full of challenges including the classic British weather, so it really gave me a chance to flex my creative muscles and see what I could do to make this couple’s big day special.
As the nation’s capital, London is also a very popular wedding venue location for international couples, and I love having my eyes opened to different cultures whilst shooting in a location that’s got so much culture of its own. London is truly limitless when it comes to wedding theme ideas and photography opportunities, whether you’re taking your vows in Golders Green or Greenwich.
I love the opportunity to work with couples for London wedding shoots, so if you’re looking to tie the knot in this beautiful city, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with me on my contact page.
